Goose With Broken Beak Gets A New 3D Printed Prosthetic

Recently we posted about Freddy the tortoise who suffered severe burns to his shell from a wildfire and had a brand new one created by means of 3D printing; now we would like to introduce Victoria, a very special goose who broke her beak and had it replaced by a 3D printed prosthetic.

The poor goose was discovered with a severely broken break, but after only 45 days of intensive research and surgeries she has become the world’s first goose to receive a 3D printed prosthetic beak.

It’s suspected that the goose was either attacked by dogs or severely beaten by a human which left her unable to eat properly and was rapidly loosing weight by the time she was found.

Victoria is now living out the rest of her days in the countryside.
