Eastern Indigo Snake Plays Dead To Avoid Capture

An Eastern Indigo Snake was caught on camera in Mission, Taxas by Eric Johnson that has weird behaviour.

When this Eastern Indigo Snake, caught on camera in Mission, Taxas, realises it can’t get away when it’s approached by camera man, Eric Johnson, it appears to play dead.

It’s acting is quite realistic, it’s lies on the ground still and stiff with it’s mouth wide open, it looks like it’s faking a broken neck.

The snake stays still and lifeless as Eric takes a closer look, but when he steps away it springs back to life as if nothing happened.
